Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Forgr iOS application (the “App”) and the forgr.app website (the “Site”), operated by Forgr (“we”, “us”). By applying for membership, creating an account or using the App, you agree to them.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to apply for or hold membership. By applying, you confirm that the information you give us is accurate and your own.

2. Selective admission

Forgr is a selective community. Applications are reviewed by our membership board, which may include existing members voting on admissions. Admission is at the board’s sole discretion; we are not obliged to give reasons for a decision, and submitting an application creates no right to membership.

3. Membership and subscription

• Some membership features require a paid subscription, billed through Apple via your App Store account.
• Prices and billing periods are shown in the App before purchase.
• You may cancel at any time in your App Store subscription settings; access continues until the end of the paid period.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms.

4. Community standards

Forgr exists so serious people can build together. We expect respect — no harassment, hate, impersonation, spam or unlawful conduct. We operate moderation: reports are reviewed, and we may remove content, suspend or terminate accounts that breach these standards. Suspended members may submit an appeal through the App.

5. Your content

You own the content you create — your profile, messages, photos and project materials. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store and display that content within the App as needed to operate the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where retention is required by law.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service: no scraping, no automated access, no attempts to breach security or access other members’ data, no use of the App for commercial solicitation unrelated to genuine collaboration.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time in-app (Settings → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate membership for breach of these terms or our community standards, with the appeal route described above. Sections that by nature survive termination (content licence wind-down, liability, governing law) survive it.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The App is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that you will be admitted, matched, or that any collaboration will succeed; members are responsible for their own dealings with each other. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [France], and disputes are subject to the competent courts there — without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes, we will give notice in the App or by email before they take effect; continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
